In 2015 there was a need for a new tree in John Wayne Park (formerly Ensign View Park) in Newport Beach. At Arbor we are always looking for ways we can give back to our community—whether it's by planting a tree, installing a water station or supporting a local sports team--so we jumped at the chance to help out.

At that time, our boutique real estate agency was in its early stages with only 15 agents. Armed with gold-tipped shovels, we planted a coral tree. Both that tree and our agency have grown a lot since that time! We are now 70 + agents strong and still growing.

Though Arbor has reached significant business milestones, doing more than half a billion in transactions, we still are most proud of our community work.

For the sixth year, Arbor is sponsoring the "Stoke a Student" campaign in partnership with Surfside Sports in Costa Mesa. We are giving away a surfboard from Surf Prescriptions shaped by Doc Lausch to a surf-loving, B-average elementary, junior high school, or high school student in the Newport-Mesa area.

"We are committed to doing things for our community that will have a positive impact," says Arbor Real Estate's Founder, Chris Brigandi. "I'm proud that 'Stoke a Student' has become so successful. We've given out eight boards to local kids so far, and we are looking forward to having that number grow."

Students -- or their parents -- can enter by filling out an entry form available at Surfside Sports. (No purchase necessary.) The student whose name

Arbor Real Estate's fourth annual 'House Party' raised more than $30,000 for The Rob Machado Foundation for their joint initiative Clean Water for Kids. The money raised will go directly to installing FloWater station in every school in the Newport-Mesa school district.
The purpose of the stations is to eliminate single-use water bottles -- which pollute our watersheds and oceans -- and to give students access to clean, tasty water. The Clean Water for Kids initiative has already funded and installed stations at Newport Elementary School, Ensign Intermediate school, Newport Heights Elementary, all in Newport Beach and Davis Magnet School in Costa Mesa. Water stations are scheduled to be installed at Newport Harbor High School later this month.

Arbor Real Estate agent Casey O'Connor's inspiration for starting Sean's Pot of Gold is both inspiring and heartbreaking. Casey lost her brother, Sean, to a rare childhood cancer called neuroblastoma when she was nine, and he was only six years old. Her younger brother was a patient at both Loma Linda & CHOC Hospitals while he fought the disease.

Years later in high school, she was looking to do a community project for a class, and she remembered the time she spent in the hospital with her brother, and that's when she had the idea to start "Sean's Pot of Gold."

“I miss my brother very much. We were the best of friends growing up, and I often think about what type of person he would have become," says Casey of her brother Sean. "I feel kids

Chinese buyers represent a tremendous new market opportunity for property sellers in Orange County. We sent The Casey O'Connor Group to The Luxury Property Showcase (LPS) in Shanghai last December, but to capture these buyers attention and connect with them we had to speak their language. Arbor agent, Elis Chong helped translate our listings to Chinese and talked to the attendees in our booth and during learning sessions like this one.
Arbor is meeting the challenge of reaching, communicating and engaging with this new market in real ways like what we did in Shanghai. We are continuing to cultivate the relationships we made in China with investors, wealth managers, translators and business people in ways that will benefit our clients for years to come.
